9 2-hour lessons that guide participants to identify a problem in their community and learn about artificial intelligence (AI) and how to use AI tools to develop a solution for the problem. Children are the future. So is Artificial Intelligence. More than 80% of parents across the United States say that technology will play a greater role in their futures. However, they also recognize that there is a significant gap between their child’s interest in learning about future technologies – including artificial intelligence –and their preparedness for the jobs of the future (Veraquest, 2018). Through Technovation Families, students and their families explore core concepts of Artificial Intelligence, apply AI tools to solve problems in their communities and have the opportunity to enter their ideas into a global competition.
