Coronavirus (COVID-19) is impacting the lives of people around the globe and every day we hear new sobering stories about the very real health and safety implications of the spread of this virus.
As early as January, Avaya teams and partners in China were on the frontline in Wuhan, where we donated Avaya audio and video equipment and dispatched resources for speedy installation and deployment. Hospitals in the region have put Avaya’s communications solutions to good use, to help medical personnel perform remote consultation and video diagnostics as well as to enable patients to visit virtually with loved ones.
We continue to provide support where we can on a local level to make a positive impact in our communities. Afterall, we are a global company, with global responsibilities and with communication and collaboration technology that can actually help in times of need like this.
With this in mind, we have decided to provide our Avaya Spaces collaboration software for free, to all education institutions including colleges and universities along with non-profit organizations worldwide. I know there is an especially immediate need in the education sector as school and university administrators consider the safety of their students while ensuring continuity of their classes, engagement with their students and delivering on their educational objectives.
Avaya Spaces for Free
Our free Avaya Spaces offer provides a cloud meeting and team collaboration solution that enables people and organizations to connect and collaborate remotely – and goes beyond integrating chat, voice, video, online meetings and content sharing. It gives users all the meeting and team collaboration features needed, including voice and video conferencing for up to 200 participants.
It’s a mobile-enabled solution giving users a simple, secure and effective way to track communications and manage tasks when travel and connectivity are limited. We hope that this free offer can help organizations and people communicate and connect in the face of this global challenge.
