School was boring. Instead, he chose to make friends with some local Chileans and went on a slew of adventures. By summer’s end, he was fluent in Spanish. The classmates who went to class? Not fluent.

This seeded the idea of a new way of learning—one that was fun, exciting, and also worked—learning by conversation. A few years later, Colingo was formed with the goal of being the easiest, most effective way to become fluent in English.
