Grow Grammar has two modes of interaction. In the free-form “create” mode, kids build their own sentences using a dynamic, grammar-based tree structure. In “challenge” mode, students work in the opposite direction, analyzing sentences and figuring out the underlying grammar. Grow Grammar was developed for elementary and middle school students and is guided by Common Core standards. It is intended to be used both at home and in classrooms and works well in environments where iPads are shared. Y = World is a breakthrough educational app that invites students to discover the visual world of math. The truth is that every student understands concepts like slope, acceleration and frequency long before they enter high school. They understand these things intuitively because they understand them visually. What students don’t understand is how these concepts connect to the symbolic and syntactic expressions of mathematics.
