Frontiers for Young Minds is an open-access, non-profit scientific journal with articles written by scientists and reviewed by a board of children and teenagers (from 8 to 15).
Frontiers for Young Minds believes that science should be open and accessible for all, independent of age, background, gender, ethnicity or socio-economic status. Therefore they ask scientists to rewrite their published academic work so that our young readers will be able to understand it. The scientists are thus challenged to explain what they do in a (mostly) jargon-free manner, while still conveying the original meaning of their work.
