Kelly Gallagher’s Coronavirus Unit

Kelly Gallagher has devoted himself to the teaching of reading, writing, listening and speaking—first and foremost, as a high school ELA teacher in Anaheim, California, and also as an author/consultant who works with educators around the world. Today, he is considered one of the leading voices in literacy education. Kelly is pleased to share with you a variety of handouts and instructional aids that he developed to support his strategies for teaching reading, writing, speaking and listening. In addition, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic-related school closures and the challenge of teaching students remotely, Kelly Gallagher, along with several of his colleagues, have created an extended lesson plan designed to encourage students to capture this moment in history.
